‘Menopause in the workplace: Why it’s important to discuss’

It's 2021, yet only one in three UK Entrepreneurs are female, with studies showing that in 2020, only 5% of FTSE 100 CEOs were women, and the FTSE 250 is even further behind, with just 2%.

The Global Gender Gap Report 2020 also shows that none of us will see gender parity in our lifetimes, and nor likely will many of our children. These findings show that gender parity will not be achieved for 99.5 years.

The Great British Businesswoman Series looks at ways of changing these statistics, on a mission to bring together the great and the good of female business leaders to champion, celebrate and support the amazing women across the country who are changing the way that we live and work.

I was delighted to join this session to discuss the challenges for in working whilst in menopause. We discussed recommendations for employers to best support these team members to make suitable adjustments to the physical and psychosocial work environment, provision of information and support, and training for line managers.
