‘Rainbow Menopause’ with Iris Film Prize

I'm excited to announce my involvement in 'Rainbow Menopause,' an innovative project funded by the prestigious Iris Prize, Cardiff's International LGBT+ Short Film Prize. This project underscores the importance of inclusive dialogues around menopause, especially within the LGBTQ+ community, a group whose experiences have often been marginalized in these discussions.

Through the generous funding provided by the Iris Prize, the Menopause Inclusion Collective has embarked on producing a film that integrates interviews with healthcare professionals and individuals from the LGBTQ+ community, offering a rich tapestry of menopause experiences. Our goal is to illuminate the diverse journeys through menopause, advocating for a more inclusive support system that recognizes and addresses the unique challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals.

Working alongside Ceri Harris BEM, a distinguished equality and inclusion professional and the director of this film, is always a delight. Ceri's leadership and vision for 'Rainbow Menopause' align perfectly with the project's mission to bring about a significant shift in the way menopause is understood and discussed across all spectrums of society.

This project is not only about sharing stories; it's an opportunity to contribute to a broader movement towards empathy, understanding, and inclusivity in health conversations. By focusing on the unique perspectives and challenges of the LGBTQ+ community, 'Rainbow Menopause' aims to create a more supportive and inclusive environment for everyone going through menopause. I am proud to be part of this project and look forward to the positive changes our collective efforts will inspire in making menopause an inclusive topic for all. I’ll be sharing the film following its Premiere in early March this year.
